Based, in the UK, Amdaris offers a personalised service to all customers whatever their size. It is recognised, that companies do not often have the in-house expertise or resources to effect major changes as most departments have been trimmed to run 'lean and mean'. This means that it can be difficult to obtain objective and balanced reviews of their processes and supporting applications, never mind the continual struggle to take advantage of technologies. Whilst companies are aware of the trend to 'outsource' development, operations and support, there is a natural reluctance to 'dip a toe in the water' and to alienate local, loyal staff.

Whilst Amdaris is happy to do a complete project for customers who do not have internal technical staff, they also specialise in the concept of 'extending the team'. There is nothing new about this except that often the practical experience results in the customer handing over control to the supplier and then feeling isolated or worse still, the local staff feel that they are left maintaining a legacy application when all the focus and fun is on the new system. Amdaris believes in creating the project structure whereby the customer runs the project as an internal operation using as many internal staff as is feasible and then extending the team with outside expertise. Amdaris will then supplement the team with technical expertise and will provide the all important UK link to the external resources to remove the overhead of management and language hurdles often evident in distributed teams. This has the benefit that the company maintains control, decides on the priorities according to the changing business environment and yet has a pool of deep technical support from which to draw.

Key roles are provided by UK based staff such as technical arhitecture, design, usability and user testing. Time intensive roles like coding, content population , animations and unit testing is provided from the teams in Moldova and India. These teams are in daily contact with the UK and have highly qualified local staff working in good conditions.
